Design brief: Design a new logo to launch a fundraising campaign for the Bridges Community Centre.

To raise awareness and launch their campaign, Bridges advertised the competition in the Monmouthshire Beacon newspaper.

Firstly, I wanted to incorporate a bridge design to represent the Communtiy Centre.

For reproduction and ease of recognition, I decided to design the logo in single colour.

Finally, I felt it important to somehow symbolise the

range of services that the Bridges organisation provides to the community.
The idea of using the sun was to represent how Bridges spreads light into peoples lives, and the rays representing the different groups they help in the community.

As a design bonus, in the lower portion of the logo there can be seen a smiling face, with the arches of the bridge representing the eyes of the face.

The logo was chosen and used on various promotional goods and stationery and is still used today, over 8 years later.

Thankyou to Bridges for allowing the use of the logo on this website.
